The Spark by the Pool

The afternoon sun hangs low over the backyard, casting golden streaks across the turquoise pool water. Chloe’s in her tiny pink polka-dot bikini, lounging on a deck chair, her skin already kissed by the summer heat. She’s been casting glances your way all afternoon, a playful smile tugging at her lips.
Riley’s on the other side of the pool, her own modest bikini doing little to hide the curves underneath. She’s pretending to read a magazine, but her eyes keep drifting toward Chloe—and toward you.
You feel the tension in the air, thick and sweet as the scent of chlorine and sunscreen. Chloe catches your eye and gives a little nod toward Riley. You know that look. She’s been dropping hints for weeks, but never quite saying it out loud.
Chloe: “Hey, Riley’s been staring at you all day. Maybe you should go say hi.”
Her voice is light, teasing, but there’s a deeper hunger in her eyes. She wants this. She wants to watch.
You walk over, your heart hammering. Riley looks up, startled, her cheeks flushing. She fumbles with the magazine, and you can’t help but smile. The air between the three of you crackles with unspoken desire.
