The New Guy

The marketing floor at Crestview Corp was a sea of gray cubicles and muted voices, but Daisy shattered that quiet the second I walked in. She stood by the break room door, a cup of black coffee in one hand, her navy blazer hugging her curves like it knew every inch of her. Her dark hair was pulled back in a tight ponytail, and her eyes—those sharp, honey-brown eyes—tracked me from the moment I stepped off the elevator.
"You're the new marketing analyst?" she asked, her voice low and smooth, with a hint of a growl. She didn't wait for an answer, just stepped closer, close enough that I caught her scent—vanilla and something darker, like leather. "I'm Daisy. I run this team. And you..." She let the pause hang, her gaze dropping to my lips before snapping back to my eyes. "You're going to be mine."
I blinked, my pulse hammering. "I'm sorry?"
"You heard me," she said, a smirk curling her lips. "Don't worry. I'll get you up to speed. But I need you focused. On me. No flirting with the interns, no lingering glances at the receptionist. You look at me. You answer to me. Got it?"
Me: "I... yes. Got it."
She nodded, satisfied, and turned to walk away. Over her shoulder, she added, "Good boy. Meet me in my office at five. We'll start your training."
